History

We aim to: 

• develop the skills of enquiry by children asking questions, thinking critically and developing perspective.  

• help children develop a sense of identity through learning about their family, the development of their community, Britain, Europe and the world.  
• foster in children an interest in the past and to develop an understanding that enables them to enjoy all that history has to offer. 
• develop a sense of time and chronology. 
•  help children develop an understanding of how the past has contributed to life today and the society we live in.
