Spring Learning

Over the spring term Reception have had so much fun!We have enjoyed some outdoor learning during forest school, using all natural materials to make wonderful creations and even using clay to give our trees some funny faces.

This term or main topic has been: Why is the sky blue? Meaning a focus on weather. We have really enjoyed making wind blow paintings, clouds in a jar and shadow exploration. Some of the reception class were really interested in how the weather has been changing during the spring time, we were all surprised when we had lots of ice and snow to play with! It was so exciting playing with it.

Finally this term we have done a lot of exploration of animals in different habitats and climates, especially Antarctica. From here we decided we needed a closer look at some animals, like a class snail! We loved watching it come in and out of its shell before letting it go back home outside.

It has been a great term. Well done to everybody!
